Group Fitness Instructor - Part Time - 12+ Month TEMP _Basic Purpose and Objective: _ __ The primary role of the group exercise instructor is to provide fitness classes such as aerobics, yoga, toning, etc. to the general employee population in the headquarters fitness center. The Group Exercise Instructor will provide fitness classes on an as-needed basis for any employees interested in attending the class. Responsibilities: * Provide group exercise classes to employees * Set up facility for any activity needed for class * Plan classes around the skill levels of the participants * Notify Fitness Coordinator of any maintenance needs or equipment needs * Monitor well-being of participants * Encourage participants to continue with exercises and make healthy choices * Enforce all fitness facility policies, rules and regulations * Participate in in-service training sessions as requested * Assists Corporate Wellness Team with program planning, marketing as requested * Assists Corporate Wellness Team with implementation of wellness programs and events * Assists with general maintenance and cleaning of fitness center and equipment * Assists with implementation and delivery of fitness programs. Education and Experience: * Group Exercise certification * Bachelors degree (minimum) in exercise related science * CPR and AED certification * 2-3 years of group exercise experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities * Ability to encourage and maintain strong participation in the group exercise program * Ability to remain self-motivated as well as motivate others * Good communication skills and interpersonal skills * Basic computer skills Working Conditions: __ The position may require flexible working hours, including early morning, late afternoon or evening hours and split shifts on some or all days.
