Apply here** https://ppdi.insitecareers.com/ Provides local and remote operations support to internal andexternal PPD clients on network, voice, and other communications systems thatcannot be resolved through the Service Desk. Provides first level network andcommunications technology hardware and software assessment and resolution ofissues. Essential Functions ? Responds to end users requests on voice and networkissues. ? Works with vendors to maintain and troubleshoot serviceapplications. ? Sets up and maintains communications systems for new andexisting end users. ? Performs other specific communications duties as definedby working practices such as connecting and configuringcommunication equipment. Ability to communicate informationand ideas effectively Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows, Linux, and storageplatforms Strong customer service skills Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail Analytical and problem solving skills Ability to provide advanced trouble-shooting and maintenance of servers Working Conditions and Environment: Work is performed in an office environment with exposure to electrical officeequipment. Occasional drives to site locations with occasional travel both domestic andinternational. Long varied hours may be required. Physical Requirements: Frequently stationary for 6-8 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple,repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists. Frequent mobility required. Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck. Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects includingluggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs. Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed bothin- house and off-the-shelf. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; withthe ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented throughspoken words and sentences. Frequently interacts with others to obtain or relate information to diversegroups. Works independently with little guidance or reliance on oral or written instructionsand plans work schedules to meet goals. Requires multiple periods of intenseconcentration. Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands andchanging conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability toperform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
