Job Title: Phlebotomist, Outpatient Supervisor
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Position Compensation Range: $59,000.00 – $94,000.00 annually
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Phlebotomist, Outpatient Supervisor to provide first-line supervision and technical oversight for our outpatient phlebotomy services. This role is responsible for leading and supporting a team of phlebotomists, ensuring high-quality patient care, maintaining a professional work environment, and managing day-to-day operations of the outpatient phlebotomy area.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily supervision and leadership to phlebotomy staff in an outpatient setting.
Perform clinical and technical phlebotomy duties as needed, ensuring high standards of patient care and specimen collection.
Foster and maintain a positive, professional, and efficient work environment.
Manage inventory levels and coordinate the use of supplies and resources effectively.
Investigate and resolve patient or staff concerns, errors, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Support staff development by assisting with training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional growth and encourage development among team members.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards related to phlebotomy and outpatient services.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental needs.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical or outpatient phlebotomy setting.
Licensure/Certification: Active certification required from an approved, accredited, nationally recognized phlebotomy organization (e.g., PBT (ASCP) or equivalent).
