PHOTO AND VIDEO INTERN

Join a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific! The Photo & Video Intern will have the opportunity to develop the necessary skills for commercial photo and video production as they will support both the studio onsite with creative and operational aspects of photo and video production. This experience is inclusive of:

• Shooting and editing products for various ecommerce platforms
• Generating assets for social media channels
• Capturing and editing video content for both pre-recorded and live stream productions
• Developing skills in set building and maintenance
• Supporting pre-production efforts through inventory organization and logistics planning
• Assisting project management and producer roles in establishing shooting schedules and timelines
• Completing production process through asset delivery and management

The Photo & Video intern must be able to commit to a 12-week schedule and be available to work full-time hours on-site in the Pittsburgh photo studio during the summer.

EDUCATION

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be enrolled in school at a collegiate level with a focus on photography, videography, multimedia, communications, or similar program

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

• In-depth knowledge of camera operations for both still photos and video
• Beginner knowledge of lighting and composition
• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop
• Positive relationship building skills and the ability to work with multiple team members across departments in a collaborative and professional way
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize multiple tasks to achieve success
• Self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently and possesses a propensity for problem solving
• Ability lift up to 40lbs
