    JOB TITLE

    Process Automation Analyst

    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The Data Analyst, Process Automation will partner with the business on business digital transformation and process automation. They will interpret business data residing in IT systems (primarily SAP), set up predictive analysis models, and turn the information into insight to assist the business in making decisions. Responsibilities include conducting full life cycle analysis from requirements gathering, business analysis, and design to implementation of ideas and processes.

    We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive candidate, who will work collaboratively with team members, actively participate in discussions, decisions and all project activity. The position starts in June, paid working 40 hours per week through August. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Understand and document existing complex business/system processes backed by data analysis
    • Interpret data and analyze results using data mining and statistical techniques.
    • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex and large data sets.
    • Identify and define new process improvement opportunities.
    • Present information using data visualization tools and techniques.
    • Document future business process flow and high-level system flow
    • Analyze and document data quality gaps
    • Perform System Integration Testing, facilitate User Acceptance Testing, and Quality Assurance Testing
    • Deploy tested and approved solutions and transition to the Support & Operations team

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team in an Agile environment
    • Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
    • Familiarity with of least one software development tool set such as C#, HTML and RPA Tools
    • Aptitude for writing software programs
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Must be a confident self-starter individual who can completely lead the delivery of high value work products. ​ -Excellent visualization and presentation skills.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • CS or Information technology degree
    • Previous Internship Experience
    • Experience with data analysis tools, reporting platforms (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, PowerBI), database queries (SQL) and programming/scripting (e.g. Python, VBA).
    • Understanding of predictive analysis and data mining concepts. Exposure to AI, machine learning
    • Working knowledge of using statistics for analyzing datasets.
    • Analytical mind and business acumen, and strong problem-solving aptitude
