Lighthouse Lab Services is seeking an experienced Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Consultant to join our network on a 1099 contract basis. This role offers the chance to make an impact by supporting laboratories as they launch, optimize, and expand their sequencing capabilities.

What You’ll Do

• Apply your expertise across both wet bench and dry bench NGS workflows.
• Advise on laboratory layouts and upfits to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Support validations for new assays and instrumentation.
• Review and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality and regulatory readiness.
• Provide ongoing guidance to labs navigating NGS implementation and operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on experience with NGS wet bench methods and bioinformatics analysis.
• Background in laboratory operations, with knowledge of validations and workflow optimization.
• Familiarity with lab design, setup, and process improvement.
• Strong communication skills and a consultative mindset.
• Prior consulting or project-based experience is a plus.
