    Sustainability Engineering Intern New Durham, North Carolina, United States, RTI Headquarters (RTP Area) Intern G&A Facility Strategic Services 180LR Requisition # Apply for Job Share this Job Sign Up for Job Alerts Internship Description HR Directions is seeking a candidate for its client, RTI International, for a Sustainability Engineering Internship position with the Facility Strategic Services (FSS) team.This internship will provide the successful prospect a mentored learning experience, and the opportunity to expand his/her classroom knowledge and skills within a professional setting. Intern responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Working with Facilities Engineering on the development of Corporate sustainability report. Supporting the entire FSS team. including support of Facilities Engineering, Operations, and the Financial Analyst. Evaluating and updating the building energy use equations based on CDD and HDD as well as look for additional predictive drivers. Working with FSS team to implement document control for department. Developing timeline to maintain sustainability report including data. Developing "Intern Manual" detailing training and knowledge for future interns. Additional Information The paid internship is located in RTI's Research Triangle Park office and will run from September 2018 through December 2018. Qualifications Currently enrolled student who has completed at least 2 years of coursework in Engineering field. Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple engagements simultaneously Demonstrated interest in Sustainability, HVAC, Utility Generation and Distribution Systems, Building Automation Systems and the troubleshooting, interconnection of systems. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, etc. Strong written and verbal, as well as organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills. Able to work a minimum of 20 hours and a maximum of 30 hours per week. (Standard hours of operation are 8 AM to 5 PM, M-F).
