SUT Finance Intern

SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

The SUT Finance internship position provides an opportunity for undergraduate students who are currently pursuing a finance, accounting, or related degree to get hands on experience working with finance professionals and business leaders in a fast-paced environment. The finance intern will contribute to reporting and data analysis for key decisions as well help to further drive efficiency. This position starts in May working 40 hours per week until September. Opportunity exists for the position to continue through the year on a part time basis to allow for class schedules.

CRUCIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide data support to SUT Finance team including generation of key reports and validation of costs/categorization
• Support a variety of business initiatives crafted to increase revenue and optimize profitability
• Be involved in many aspects of financial review and decision-making tasks/processes
• Learn about analytical standard methodologies and develop financial acuity through daily engagement
• Accept feedback and look for areas of improvement
• Specific task to be tailor the individual’s experience level and abilities

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
• Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
• Desire to contribute and improve design of financial reporting and processes
• Outstanding customer mentality
• Familiarity with financials
• Strong attention to detail

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
