    Job Description

    How will you make an impact?

    The individual will be responsible for performing a variety of duties to support Quality Control Lab operations with primary responsibilities being equipment planning and maintenance. This will include qualification, calibration, repair, Change Control processes, and PM oversight of laboratory instruments and equipment. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; performing PM and calibration work, SAP updates, drafting procedures, leading projects, and other functions such as evaluating instrument data, problem-solving, initiating and complete follow-through of Change Control, and maintaining metrics.

    What will you do?

    • Test samples in accordance with established procedures and using all instrumentation required in the procedures, including AA, LC, GC-FID, GC-ECD, GC-MS, IR, UV-VIS, Melting point apparatus, Karl Fisher.
    • Test samples using wet chemistry techniques.
    • Segregate, label and dispose of waste chemicals in accordance with company, local, state and federal regulations and assist in reducing waste.
    • Maintain Efficiency, productivity and Integrity with analytical data to meet required standards.
    • Assist in continuously updating standard operating procedures.
    • Review test data prior to releasing in Thermo Fisher system according to procedure.
    • Prepare reagents and standard solutions and standardize according to requirements.
    • Perform elementary method analysis and development for troubleshooting purposes.
    • Make recommendations to technical support on analytical methods.
    • Repair, maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.
    • Assist with resolution of Investigations, customer complaints and reviewing batch records.
    • Other job duties as assigned.

    This position is a M-F 8am-5pm role. Flexibility and overtime may be required on holidays and weekends to support project timelines.

  • Qualifications

    How will you get here?

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Analytical chemistry skills with Biochemistry or Chemical Engineering.
    • LIMS experience preferred

    Experience

    • Minimally 1+ years’ experience with analytical test method validation according to ICH and USP/EP pharmacopeia.
