The SENIOR MANAGER PLANNING & FORECASTING oversees the global financial systems environment for the Analytical Instruments Group (AIG). and is responsible for the design, implementation, and adoption of new company-wide systems technologies. With emphasis on planning and forecasting activities, this role is actively involved in strategy, reporting, and analytics solutioning processes as we drive transformational change to deliver new reporting platforms and solutions. Reporting to the FINANCE DIRECTOR, SYSTEMS, DATA & BI, this role has a great deal of visibility and engagement with senior leadership. In addition, the position is also responsible for developing solid cross-functional business partnerships, leading special projects and improving processes across an organization with substantial volume and system complexity and serving as subject matter expert for all facets of the divisional financial systems environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead global systems FP&A by driving strategic vision and overseeing multiple financial reporting systems.
• Drive standardization of tools, processes, and reporting solutions that facilitate key business insights across the division through collaborative partnerships with Commercial, Business Unit, Divisional FP&A, and Corporate Systems teams.
• Design, deploy, and manage division-wide planning and forecasting processes to drive consistency and improved data visibility.
• Partner with other group functional areas to develop and enhance systems reporting opportunities.
• Champion user competency and adoption of new tools and techniques and ensure that solutions are consistently driven into all levels of the division.
• Act as primary subject matter expert for the finance user community in all facets of the divisional financial systems environment.
• Work with system users in conjunction with Corporate FP&A team to adapt system hierarchy and metadata structures in reaction to changing business requirements.
• Support overall data strategy of centralization, consistency, automation and visualization. Consider data as a key strategic business asset and seek to enhance and optimize wherever possible.
• Remote manage, develop and train a team of analysts.

• Bachelors’ degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in financial reporting systems, computing, and/or data sciences preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Finance or Accounting, or successful completion of Thermo Fisher Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP)
• Extensive experience with Hyperion Planning and EPBCS (Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service)
• Experience with Hyperion suite data integration and business process flow
• Understanding key strategic business drivers and operational processes with the ability articulate and align technical functionality to the evolving demands of business users.
• Highly numerate, with the ability to analyze, model and interpret complex system structures.
• Organized, detail-oriented, self-starter with ability to maintain accuracy of information and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills; effective verbal & written communication abilities.
• Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency and ownership of deliverables.
