We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced professional to join us at our North American headquarters as a:

     

    CONTRACT ARCHITECTURAL ENGINEER (PART-TIME)

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Act as a product expert for an innovative line of Formica Group products.
    • Review customer technical needs and recommend solutions to meet those needs.
    • Assist with fabrication and technical questions.
    • Provide guidance to customer on how our product could be incorporated into the design.
    • Act as internal liaison to transition shop drawings to manufacturing drawings.
    • Participate in weekly cross-functional review of product orders, issues, and status.
    • Interact with Production Engineer for manufacturing quality checks.
    • Estimate pricing and consult with fabricators and/or sales force.
    • Domestic travel possible at times for in-person interaction with customers to educate on product line and/or fabrication techniques.

     

    Requirements:

    • 3-5 years’ experience as a Product or Applications Engineer, Architectural Engineer, CAD Drafter, or related.
    • Experience in woodworking, including hands-on experience, in architectural millwork, cabinet or furniture making, and panel processing.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience regularly working with CAD software: Autocad and Revit.
    • Proficiency with Solidworks and/or other CAD programs is required
    • Familiar with Microsoft software: Excel, Word, Outlook.
    • Must have good personal, customer service and communication skills.
    • Must have project management skills.
    • Knowledge in furniture fabrication or manufacturing.
    • CNC experience.
    • Ability to learn quickly and problem solve for the unknown.

     

    Preferred:

    • Degree in Architectural Engineering or related.
    • Ideal experience in Solidworks, Sketchup, CAD Interchange.
    • Fabrication experience constructing tables / counters.

     

    This contract position if for an initial 3 month term, with the option to renew. We are looking for someone to work 10 – 20 hours per week at our NA Headquarters located in Evendale, Ohio.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Two years in a clinical environment with data processing/specimen handling experience. A.S degree preferred or an equivalent demonstration of education and experience.  Graduate of heath/ medical assistant or similar training program from an accredited institution where general laboratory technique is taught. Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for moderate complexity testing.

     

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English.  Ability to effectively present information to one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

              

     

     

     

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

       

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to perform all duties with accuracy and attention to detail

      

    Computer Skills:

    Ability to use Laboratory Information System in addition to various other software programs.
