Electrical Engineering Intern (level III) SLAC National Accelerator

National Accelerator Laboratory, a multipurpose laboratory for
astrophysics, photon science, accelerator and particle physics research,
has an employment opportunity available for an electrical engineering
student (or equivalent) who is interested in high power RF technology or
accelerator science and seeking to gain work experience. Reporting to
the Accelerator Technology Research (ATR) Department Head, the intern
will be part of a design team developing accelerator components and
systems. He/she will assist the research team with design, experiments
and data analysis. Note: This is a summer session, non-benefits eligible
casual-nonexempt position (work less than 50% full-time equivalent), not
to exceed 980 hours in a calendar year. Eligible applicants must be at
least 18 years of age, currently enrolled in an undergraduate
educational program, and have US work authorization. QUALIFICATIONS: *
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to complete assignments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment. *
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with
waveguide theory. * Experience with experimental equipment spectrum
analyzers or vector network analyzers. * Experience with finite element
analysis tools and MatLab is desirable. SLAC COMPETENCIES: * Effective
