    Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a full-time Specimen Collector/Processor for an established and well respected Addition Services non-profit large in Akron, OH.

    ABOUT THE POSITION

    Urine collection to include monitoring, collecting, documenting, filing, mailing results, stocking supplies and cleaning; and other medical office tasks as requested by supervisor.

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify individuals providing urine sample by matching billing form and ID documentation, correct any errors.
    • Collect and appropriately label urine samples for testing.
    • Ensure appropriate chain of custody procedures are being followed.
    • Assist patients with referrals, appointments and preauthorizations.
    • Schedule patients’ medical appointments.
    • Accurately chart all patient interaction on patients’ charts.
    • Report on all urine drug screens.
    • Filing charts and developing charts for new patients.
    • Complete all paperwork by deadlines.
    • Ensure filing is completed daily.
    • Stock supplies as needed.
    • Clean bathroom several time during shift to ensure cleanliness.
    • Keep work area free of clutter and waste, clean up all spills and work area with disinfectants when necessary and at the end of each day.
    • Dispose of all biohazard material as per policy.
    • Answer phones in a pleasant professional manner.
    • Attend CMS supervision meetings as required.
    • Ensure patient rights are upheld.
    • Maintain patient confidentiality according to agency procedures,
    • Maintain regular attendance.
    • Arrive to work on time.
    • Follow all established agency policies and procedures to include performance improvement Exposure Control,
      Chemical Hygiene Plan, safety, environmental and infection control.
    • Perform other duties as assigned either in written form or verbally given by your supervisor.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    • High School Diploma
    • Background in Medical Assisting and/or certification highly preferred

    • 1st shift M-F
    • $16-18/hr
