    Without the need of standard curves, scientists are adopting digital PCR for applications demanding high precision such as rare target quantification, Copy Number Variation (CNV) analysis, and routine QA/QC testing.     How will you make an impact?

    We are seeking a Staff Scientist to join our team of engineers and molecular biologists to develop innovative solutions for genetic analysis using digital PCR. In the role, you will lead early-stage investigations on new product concepts in digital PCR, guide junior scientist in related activities, help to define the roadmap for the digital PCR consumables portfolio, and assist product development teams in bringing new products to market.

    What will you do?

    • Independently design and perform qPCR/dPCR experiments to screen variables and optimize workflows

    • Write detailed SOPs, analyze data, and generate reports

    • Troubleshoot instrument and workflow failures

    How will you get here?

    Education

    • Ph.D. degree in biochemistry, molecular biology, or other related fields with 3-5 years of work experience in the biotechnology industry

    Experience

    • Strong technical and theoretical background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and genetics

    • Experience with assay or technology innovation in areas of quantitative PCR, digital PCR, and/or next generation sequencing

    • Ability to innovate and generate intellectual property

    • Familiarity with product commercialization processes

    • Experience with leading diverse project teams

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Possess good written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to prepare and communicate technical information to a wide range of audiences

    • Adaptability to work in a fast-paced team environment

    • Resourceful and flexible with strong troubleshooting skills
