The Stratas Procurement team has an exciting opportunity for a talented intern to learn the procurement, supply chain, and risk management functions while contributing to the success of our fast growing company.  As an intern with Stratas Foods, you will not only work with and learn from industry professionals, but you will also share in the culture of accountability at Stratas Foods.

HOURS AND COMPENSATION

A typical workweek is 40 hours, Monday through Friday 8a – 5p, with flexibility due to summer classes.  This position pays $16 per hour.

JOB SUMMARY 

As an intern, key responsibilities will include the following:

• Review current risk management reports, update as needed, and make recommendations to change.
• Learn the tools and process of procurement.  Participate in Request for Pricing.
• Communicate with operations to understand their needs and requirement of items procured.
• Research potential new suppliers.
• Learn supply chain management for rail and truck logistics.
• Manage incoming selected projects to ensure compliance.
• Assist Procurement Team in various and sundry projects

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have the following:

An individual who has at least 1 years of undergraduate studies remaining

A hard working individual willing to dig to the bottom of every issue

A concentration in accounting, finance, economics, supply chain or related field

Strong communication skills

A highly motivated self-starter

Strong organizational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
