JOB PURPOSE

This Application Support Analyst will coordinate Electronic Data Interchange, EDI setup and maintenance between Stratas Foods and its internal and external customers and deliver efficiently and effectively end-user support on the use of various types of software programs while fulfilling business objectives. This position will be responsible for troubleshooting applications and software as well as assisting in the design, delivery, and improvement on in-house applications. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Provide daily support and maintenance of EDI reports and EDI data transactions (IE. EDI810, 850, 997, 940, 943, 944, 945).

2. Assist in development and streamlining of automated reports and processes using tools such as Document Direct, DocuAnalyzer, Batch files, and Microsoft Excel Macros.

3. Provide daily user support for data analysis and gathering using reporting tools such as Business Objects, DB2, Document Direct and DocuAnalyzer.

4. Recommend data mining process improvements/reporting opportunities based on existing practices.

5. Maintain a high level of customer service at all times.

6. Support and understand in depth the IBM system modules (IE. Orders, Contracts, Inventory, Production and Product setup).

7. Contribute to process development and best practice. Look at new ways to improve performance levels and supportability related to data integrity and data mining.

8. Document new processes and procedures for IT department.   Ensure IT knowledgebase is kept current.

9. Maintain items and publications within data pools (1WorldSync, FSEnet, ECCnet) pursuant to GS1 US and GS1 Canada standards for global data synchronization.

10. Other IT projects as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related technical field.

EXPERIENCE:

3-5 years of technical and analytical knowledge. EDI and/or VAN experience is preferred.  Knowledge of different EDI transactions (810, 997).

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION: Writes clearly and informatively, presents numerical data effectively, able to read and interpret written information. Good oral and written communication skills.

ORAL COMMUNICATION: Speaks clearly and persuasive in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions. Good listening and presentation skills.

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE:

Capable of using multiple software packages as tools for analysis and data entry.  Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Sharepoint).  Knowledge of Document Direct, DocuAnalyzer, and Business Objects.
