  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Coordinate the flow, control the handling and storage of raw materials, finished goods and labels through the warehouse by effectively using available areas. Ensure accuracy of raw materials, finished goods and label inventories. Ensure building, forklifts, and palletizers are maintained at optimum operating levels.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Follow all safety, environmental rules, and regulations applicable to the position.

    2. Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.

    3. Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.

    4. Work within the financial guidelines established for the Warehouse

    5. Complete all associated paperwork/reports correctly.

    6. Assign loads from inventory system via computer.

    7. Verify FIFO is being followed.

    8. Communicate with plant management on daily events.

    9. Schedule incoming railcars.

    10. Assist with monthly inventory.

    11. Attend toolbox meetings.

    12. Other duties as assigned.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education: High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred

    Related Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience.

    Skills : Proficient (or ability to become proficient) use of Word/Excel and various inventory system. Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.

    Competencies:

    1. Must be highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.

    2. Must have good problem solving skills

    3. Must be detail oriented.

    4. Must be team oriented.

    Additional Information

    Physical: Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/down stairs and ladders (portable, fixed).

    Sensory: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

    Mental/Reasoning : Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.
