Job Description

The Manufacturing General Laborer is an entry level position on the manufacturing floor.  Qualified candidates must be able to perform a variety of jobs, tasks, or duties as required; and must be able to work any shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

The Manufacturing General Laborer tasks required, but not limited to, are general housekeeping, clean up, sweeping, vacuuming, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), sample retrieval, power washing, lifting and hauling items up and down stairs, dump rework, and operate a motorized fork lift and a variety of other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  High School Diploma or equivalent

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE SKILLS:  Basic computer knowledge - data entry

Additional Information

PHYSICAL:  Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights

SENSORY: Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.)

MENTAL/REASONING: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
