Marketing Media and Communication Specialist
Job Description
This position is a member of the Corporate Marketing Team reporting to Sr. Director of Marketing and also working closely with VP of HR & VP Sales/Marketing. This position is responsible for a variety of marketing activities including advertising, website, social media, POS development and corporate communications. Position is responsible for the coordination of media outlets utilized by Stratas to advertise and publish feature articles. Works directly with ad agencies to develop new creative advertising concepts and marketing material. Managing the company’s website both directly and through 3rd parties. This position is responsible for Stratas’ social media efforts and creates daily/weekly relevant posts on various social media. This position works closely with the Commercial Teams with ad hoc creative design projects, presentations, and customer communications. Assists the Marketing Department with special projects as needed. The internal communications responsibilities will be in partnership with the VP of HR and will be responsible to develop and implement internal communication strategies aimed at informing, aligning and inspiring colleagues across our business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
COMPETENCIES
CREATIVITY – Creativity is a must due to activities with advertising, website content and graphics, creating new and fresh social media posts, develop compelling internal communications and POS development.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS – Possessing both written and oral communication skills is critical due to ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders on a variety of issues and tasks. Position often issues global statements or announcements and communication needs to be clear and concise.
ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK – Job does not follow a set routine with set timetables. Projects/issues/requests occur quickly and with little lead time. Person needs to be able to juggle multiple tasks and projects at the same time to get things accomplished by assigned deadlines.
PROBLEM SOLVING – Job duties vary due to changing needs and issues. Must be able to deal with new problems and develop solutions.
ANALYTICAL SKILLS – Deals often with expense analysis, spreadsheets, and complex data scenarios. Must be able to analyze and accurately interpret data, and then act on it.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, communication, business, or related field required. Marketing or communication degree preferred.
RELATED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3-5 years previous work experience in Marketing and/or corporate communications.
EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE SKILLS: Must have excellent experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications, Photoshop, Publisher, Spark, Stripo. Experience with website management and social media platforms required.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Driver’s License

PHYSICAL: Normal level of routine activity. Must occasionally be capable of lifting boxes and other bulky items weighing approximately 30-50 pounds
SENSORY: Must be able to speak clearly and listen effectively. Generally good sensory skills in order to work effectively and give direction to technical services on projects when required
MENTAL/REASONING: Must be able to rationalize every situation and make recommendations. Must be able to analyze the business results and make directional changes as required
