    SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

    The Supply Chain Planning Internship position provides an opportunity for business students who are currently pursuing a Supply Chain, Information Systems, or like business degree to get hands on experience working with supply chain planning professionals in a fast-paced distribution operations planning environment. The supply chain intern will contribute to development projects and advance best planning system practices. THE POSITION STARTS IN MAY OR JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Provide business support related to driving planning system optimization utilizing Logility advanced planning software.
    • Support a variety of advanced planning system activities and may be assigned to an assortment of planning tasks throughout the department
    • Be involved with many aspects of planning system management as well as stocking strategy design and analysis tasks
    • Provide feedback on planning system optimization opportunities
    • Learn about supply chain planning concepts and systems through daily activities.
    • Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements
    • Specific tasks will be tailored to the supply chain interns experience level and abilities
    • A supply chain intern works under the close supervision of the manager of supply chain planning systems
  • Qualifications
    • Pursuing an undergrad degree in Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related degree
    • Previous Internship Experience preferred
    • Experience with SQL or related database programming preferred
