Supply Chain Planning Intern

SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP

The Supply Chain Planning Internship position provides an opportunity for business students who are currently pursuing a Supply Chain, Information Systems, or like business degree to get hands on experience working with supply chain planning professionals in a fast-paced distribution operations planning environment. The supply chain intern will contribute to development projects and advance best planning system practices. THE POSITION STARTS IN JUNE, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide business support related to driving supply chain planning processes
• Support a variety of advanced planning activities and may be assigned to an assortment of planning tasks throughout the department
• Be involved with many aspects of planning system management and analysis tasks
• Provide feedback on planning process improvement opportunities
• Learn about supply chain planning concepts and systems through daily activities
• Accept candid feedback and look for areas of improvements
• Specific tasks will be tailored to the supply chain interns experience level and abilities

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
• Willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
• Exceptional customer focus
• Familiarity with supply chain planning concepts
• Exposure and understanding of SQL or related database programming
• Aptitude for learning and understanding complex planning systems

QUALIFICATIONS

• Pursuing Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related degree
• Previous Internship Experience preferred
• Experience with SQL or related database programming preferred
