    Our internship program will give you a chance to get real world business experience and build your network before graduation. We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. You will focus on learning how our organization runs and can be expected to gain valuable insight that can further your interest in your chosen career field.

    We are seeking an engineering intern to support the development of the Ion Torrent Sequencing platform for new application. The internship position will provide an opportunity for college students who are currently pursuing biomedical, electrical, mechanical engineering or physics degree to join a fast-paced instrument design and workflow development environment. The system intern will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers, molecular biologists and chemists. Specific duties will include, but not limited to:

    • Developing and executing instrument design verification tests.
    • Collecting and analyzing data, composing test reports, providing feedback on instrument design
    • Providing engineering support to application development with hardware testing and troubleshooting.

    The position starts in May or June, paid working 40 hours per week through August. An opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.

  • Qualifications
    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering or physics.
    • A minimum of 2 years of college-level study in a related field.
    • Course work and lab experience in mechanical design, instrument control and data analysis.
    • Training in general science, computer programming and molecular biology are preferred.

    To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and should not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.
