SUMMARY OF INTERNSHIP
The Systems Reliability Engineering Internship position provides an opportunity for engineering students who are currently pursuing a computer science, computer engineering or like engineering degree to get hands on experience working with our engineers in a fast-paced corporate infrastructure environment. The intern will contribute to ongoing projects in the following fields; Cloud, Virtualization, Windows, Linux and Automation.
THE POSITION STARTS IN JUNE 2022, PAID WORKING 40 HOURS PER WEEK THROUGH AUGUST. Opportunity exists for this position to continue through the academic year on a part-time basis to allow for class schedules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide engineering support related to OS troubleshooting
Build operational automation to assist the team in repeatable tasks
Support the functionality of VMware and AWS environments
Contribute to the reliable operations which include design, analysis and tasks completion.
Provide feedback on process improvements
Acquire a knowledge of corporate infrastructure and operations
Specific tasks will be tailored to the Intern’s experience level and abilities
The intern works under the close supervision of engineers, and the reliability engineering managers.

Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-functional team
Ability to learn, be mentored, and improve
Desire to improve the infrastructure environment
Outstanding customer focus
Desire to guide other engineers about technology in area of expertise
Aptitude for sophisticated pre-application layer troubleshooting
Familiarity with AWS and/or Virtualization
Understanding of Programming languages
QUALIFICATIONS
Computer Science/Engineering Degree
Experience with a variety of infrastructure components
