  • Responsibilities

    We’re an industry leader in the contingent debt collection market, acknowledged for our quality and results for more than 25 years. We’re looking for an experienced collector to join our high performing team. This role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of high value files to achieve positive outcomes for our client and customers.

    Reporting to the People Lead, you will have a degree of autonomy, direct access to the client and an opportunity to support and develop strategic collection campaigns to ensure maximum results.

    Your key responsibility areas will include;

    • Managing your portfolio effectively to achieve maximum results
    • Negotiating with debtors
    • Skip Tracing;
    • Actioning incoming correspondence;
    • Updating file details;
    • Following up any settlements as required;
    • Recommending appropriate legal action when necessary; and
    • Recommending further investigation/action when necessary.

    This is a challenging collections role and experience with portfolio or account management within the commercial/high value consumer collections space is desired. You will have highly developed negotiation skills and a solid understand of the full collections process.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education/Experience:

    Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing

    Language Ability:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

    Math Ability:

    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

    Computer Skills:

    Word processing, Spreadsheets, E-mail, Laboratory Information Systems.

    Certificates and Licenses:

    Certification by a recognized certifying agency for clinical laboratory professionals preferred (ASCP, ASMT, NCA, etc). Certifications may be required in specialized areas of the laboratory.
