Job Description
Position Purpose:
Responsible for observing the opacity of emissions generated from the coking making
process and recording the observations in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
The data collected is entered into a database. Must be able to communicate observations to
operations, supervisors and client contacts. This portion of the role requires working in a heavy
industrial environment with strict safety requirements. The role requires working outdoors and
requires walking, climbing steps, acclimation to heat and cold. The role requires individuals to
be available to work 5-days per week that may include Saturday and Sunday. Shifts may be
longer than 8-hours per day therefore individuals will be required to work overtime if delays in
the operations occur. Must be able to obtain the necessary medical clearances to wear a
respirator.
