RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Reviews and updates PRODUCT SAFETY DATA SHEETS (SDSS).
- Uploads updated SDSs to Workfront.
- REVIEWS AND CALCULATES PRODUCT COMPOSITION FROM PRODUCT BOM.
- Responds to internal and external customer requests for SDSs.
- Collaborates with product safety manager and product labeling specialists on safety content on product labels.
- Reviews product labels in regards to safety data.
- ENSURE SAFETY AND OTHER REGULATORY INFORMATION is consistent amongst varies printed and electronic materials such as product labels, SDS, and instructions for use.
- Collaborates with others to obtain production composition information as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- PROFICIENT IN MS APPLICATIONS (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK).
- DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE OF HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS either through education or experience.
- ASSOCIATES OR BACHELORS DEGREE IN CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY OR ENGINEERING.
- 2-3 YEARS OF HAZARD COMMUNICATION experience in the chemical industry preferred
- Recent grads with chemistry degree considered.
- EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH SDS AUTHORING SOFTWARE PREFERRED.
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Creative, analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle critical timelines in a multi-task environment
