Responsibilities We seek applicants who are highly experienced in the areas of: Embedded software development on ARM processors, low power microcontrollers, C/C++, RTOS, embedded Linux Hardware interfaces and driver development Communication protocols such as I2C, BLE, SPI, Serial, USB, TCP/IP and Wi-Fi C#, Java or Android development experience is an added plus Open source software with emphasis on modularity, extensibility and reuse Thorough understanding of the product development and engineering project management process Compilers, make files, linker scripts, in-circuit emulators, JTAG debuggers, and laboratory test equipment such as logical analyzers and oscilloscopes Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrated success in technical decision making in a matrix environment The candidate will work with Drapers Embedded Software Group with the focus on low-power sensor systems, multi-processor complex embedded software systems. Domain includes imaging, GPS, cellular, Guidance, navigation, control and mapping systems. The selected candidate will work in a small team to map customer needs into a software solution using a combination of custom, commercial and open source software. An ability to work with customers to define requirements and implement them efficiently is required. Qualifications A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. 0-3 years experience in software development.
