    Position Summary

    Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a growing toxicology laboratory located in Lafayette, LA seeking an experienced LC-MS Toxicology Supervisor to lead and support daily operations.

    This role is ideal for an experienced analytical chemist or toxicologist who enjoys hands-on work with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and mentoring staff in a collaborative, compliance-driven environment. The LC-MS Toxicology Supervisor will oversee the full analytical workflow — from sample preparation through result release — ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise daily LC-MS/MS toxicology testing operations to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    • Perform, review, and approve all aspects of LC-MS/MS workflow, including extraction, run setup, data analysis, and result release.

    • Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot LC-MS instrumentation (Sciex preferred).

    • Review chromatograms for accuracy, identify analytical issues, and ensure quality data output.

    • Train and mentor laboratory staff on SOPs, method validation, and QA/QC procedures.

    • Manage QC, calibration, and documentation processes to maintain CLIA and COLA compliance.

    • Oversee preparation and verification of calibrators, QC materials, and stock solutions.

    • Collaborate with laboratory leadership to drive continuous improvement and uphold quality standards.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Toxicology, or related field.

    • Louisiana Clinical Laboratory State License

    • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on LC-MS/MS experience in clinical or forensic toxicology.

    • Strong understanding of LC-MS/MS workflows from sample prep to data review.

    • Experience with preparation of calibrators, QC materials, and validation documentation preferred.

    • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate laboratory personnel.

    • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

    Compensation and Benefits

    • Pay Range: $100,000 – $115,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
