Job Summary Provides laboratory support to Research and Development in the testing of developmental materials, with a focus on the New Technology Development platform. Conducts physical testing for routine and non-routine methods, specialized or developmental methods, and laboratory cooperative studies. Develops new methods for evaluating novel materials or applications. Performs other duties necessary to support the NPD platform, including background research, standard analysis and reporting of results. The high productivity environment requires exceptional teamwork, interpersonal skills, and motivation. Responsibilities and Duties * Perform routine and non-routine product testing. Develop and conduct testing for developmental methods or specialized instrumentation and laboratory cooperative studies * Provide basic data summary, statistical analysis, and reporting * Assist product developer with research and evaluation of new technologies and materials, including participating in trials for evaluation of new processing technologies * Performs other duties as required to promote overall lab effectiveness, achieve * business goals, and provide high customer satisfaction * Plans for and participates in project related meetings and updates * Reviews with the respective submitter any questions about his/her request, concerns * about the testing or testing methodologies, and the timing requested. * Assists with review of all physical testing results, aging study data, and special physical testing for each test, and request prior to release to the submitter. * Assists with reviews of data for completeness,precision, accuracy when appropriate, and anomalies in these results Qualifications and Skills Education: * Bachelors degree in engineering technology, mechanical engineering or materials science (or related field) preferred. Experience: * 2 years of experience with required equipment and tools (physical testing, specialized instruments to support R&/d dimesnioanl and mechaical property testing.) * 2 years experence of in Polymer Chemistry, polymer testing lab or research lab. * Knowledge of statistical tools applied to research and development * Experience with computer programming preferred Please note relocation assistance will notbe provided All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, disability or protected veteran status.
