Job Description
Position Purpose:
Organize and lead all activities associated with maintenance TAR/Shutdown/Outage. Manage an annual
maintenance budget of $5–10 million. Receive, review, and update work order requests to ensure accuracy and
completeness. Ensure the availability of materials and equipment necessary to complete assigned tasks.
Coordinate all projects with the Operations Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, and any other personnel affected
by the work. Define work scopes (RFPs & RFQs), evaluate bid proposals, write contractor service agreements and
change orders, and submit requisitions for materials and equipment.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Education / Experience / Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of work
experience in the power plant industry preferred; or
Equivalent work experience of at least 10 years in the power plant industry.
High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
10 years of previous experience in planning, scheduling, and estimating heavy industrial
maintenance work preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Proficiency with maintenance planning software such as Primavera (P6), Microsoft
Projects, and etc
Knowledge of CMMS, MAXIMO, OWAM, MP2, and etc.
Technical training is a plus
Strong knowledge of industrial materials, equipment, and tooling
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Effective time and project management skills with the ability to organize and manage
multiple deadlines
Strong customer orientation and service mindset
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Solid understanding of project management principles
