    Job Description

    The Finance Business Partner (SIS) is responsible for the financial management and integrity of reporting for the Global Student Information System business (SIS).

    The Finance Business Partner will provide guidance on the financial implications of business activities, will drive adherence to process and policy within the business, and will be the primary point person for all financial aspects relating to Financial reporting for the SIS Business

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Forecasting – assist business in creating accurate and timely forecasts for bookings, revenue, backlog, margin, EBITDA, and validate with Sales business forecast and Salesforce.
    • Balance Sheet and Income statement management – ensure the business activities drive performance that will deliver the budget and forecast. Propose timely expense controls as necessary to protect EBITDA. Identify areas for potential remedial action including COS, overhead, T&E and other operating expenses.
    • Analysis – provide greater understanding through analysis of the primary business drivers, including bookings, revenue, backlog, margin, EBITDA, utilisation, FTE, working capital.
    • Financial Integrity – ensure revenue is recognised correctly in line with Group policy. Ensure non-standard terms are correctly identified early and properly approved prior to the bid being submitted.
    • Reporting – develop KPIs and reports that provide management with timely, accurate and insightful information. Ensure variances to budgets and forecasts are identified and explained.
    • Business Reviews – provide content and present on financial performance.
    • Customer project tracking – support Professional Services team to track, monitor problematic project implementation and consolidate YTD actuals and forecasted performance per project.
    • Ad-hoc analysis, month-ends, audits, Budget and QBR submissions

    • Educated to degree level in a Finance or Business -related discipline, or an MBA
    • Qualified or Studying for a recognised accountancy qualification
    • Recent Software or Technology experience, especially with large projects (+500K€)
    • Strong understanding of license and recurring revenue streams
    • Proven experience of supporting a business line
    • Experience in a fast-paced International organisation
    • Experience of working with a remote Shared Services organisation
    • Sound accounting knowledge, including statutory accounting experience
    • Values accuracy and attention to detail
    • Integrity, strength of character to enforce financial disciplines – does the right thing
    • Sense of urgency for performance improvement, action-oriented, results-focused
