Job Description
The Financial Controller (SIS) is responsible for the financial management and integrity of reporting for the Global Student Information System business (SIS). The Financial Controller will provide guidance on the financial implications of business activities, will drive adherence to process and policy within the business, and will be the primary point person for all financial aspects relating to Financial reporting for the SIS Business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Financial Control (manage statutory reporting, taxes, treasury, AR, AP)
- Ensure financial statements (income statement , balance sheet) are produced on a monthly basis following statutory requirements and following general accounting principles in multiple jurisdictions (US – GAAP, UK/France – IFRS)
- Review and ensure Share Services Center transactions are processed accurately and on a timely to ensure integrity of financial statements
- Provide guidance to SSC on accounting activities to ensure the proper accounting treatment is followed, specifically in revenue recognition
- Become a Finance superuser of Unit4 ERP and Reporting tools (ERP & FP&A) to understand reporting and account mapping structure
- Ensure with SSC AR team that invoices from customers are collected on time and cash forecasts targets are achieved
- Review and approve all AP invoices/transactions for payment processing
- Ensure Tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions across all entities
- Appoint and be lead contact for global auditors and global tax advisors
FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERING (FP&A)
- Consolidating the global results into an easy to read and informative reporting pack with appropriate variance analysis versus budget and prior year results
- Forecasting – assist business in creating accurate and timely forecasts for bookings, revenue, expenses, EBITDA
- Analysis – provide greater understanding through analysis of the primary business drivers, including bookings, revenue, backlog, margin, EBITDA, utilisation, FTE, working capital.
- Business Reviews – provide content and present financial performance to senior SIS management
- Customer project tracking – support the SIS Business to track, monitor problematic accounts/implementations and consolidate YTD actuals and forecasted performance per project.
