POSITION PURPOSE: The Regional Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for planning, collaborating, implementing, and maintaining a variety of site and corporate health, safety and environmental programs to assure the highest degree of workplace safety for employees within the region, as well as compliance with all related regulatory requirements.
The Regional EHS Manager will be tasked with: (not an all-inclusive list):
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensure Veolia operations comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations and Veolia EHS standards.
Provide EHS support and information related to training and health programs.
Support and coordinate with operations to:
Implement EHS Management Systems to achieve the following:
Responsible for maintenance of Regional EHS Performance Metrics.
Manage specific EHS issues and incidents.
Other related duties, as assigned; o Establish Routine Operating Rhythms of managing EHS communications. Weekly Safety Meetings, Status updates, Incident reviews/Safety Stand Downs, etc... o Continuing professional training and development and to improve skills and obtain increasingly greater qualifications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Travel requirements will vary as necessary to provide EHS support in person at operating locations and could be as much as 50% of time depending upon regional business needs.
Be able to work for prolonged periods in extremes of hot and cold temperatures and inclement weather conditions. Be able to work around hazardous materials. Under certain conditions while working in the plant, may be required to wear a respirator and/or fall protection equipment. Required to wear safety equipment and FR clothing where appropriate. Requires frequent stooping, bending, climbing, reaching, and carrying, and infrequent use of hand tools (shovels, brooms, etc..) and moving objects.
Typical Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week and will be required to assist with emergency call outs.
