    POSITION PURPOSE: The Principal Energy Analyst will be a key part of the Veolia management team responsible for providing energy consulting support and maintaining good working relationships with all Veolia customers.

    PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Directly reporting to Director of Energy Management.
    • Provide professional advanced service to account relationships.
    • Building customer relationships as a key member of management team.
    • Leadership in gathering and consolidating data from varied sources.
    • Managing utility information for multiple customers on a daily and monthly basis
    • Design and implementation of rate engine analysis for validation.
    • Fielding inquiry requests and managing problem resolution for customer utility-billing issues.
    • Coordinating and assisting with new customer account creation
    • Improve and maintain documentation of shared code.
    • Holistically analyze our systems and identify process/tool improvements that enable scalable and repeatable results.
    • Collect and organize various energy data sources, develop analysis into processes and code using various tools such as Excel, VBA, MS Access, SQL, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and improve existing processes.
    • Direction of processes to streamline standard operations.
    • Develop R-based tools to drive automation efforts.
    • Provide results and derive insights on ad-hoc analytical projects.
    • Collaborate with other teams on cross-functional initiatives.
    • Developing customized reports to support specific customer needs.
    • Researching and identifying procedures for the authorizations of access to customer’s utility Information.
    • Providing follow-up with utility representatives and commodity suppliers as needed.
    • Supporting administrative needs of the business, including but not limited to, accounting, reporting, the sales process, data entry, back-up phone support, and general administration.
    • Supporting project management requests as required by the rest of the upper management team.
    • Training of team members where appropriate.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Education / Experience / Background

    • BS/BA required preferably in Business, Accounting, Data Science, or relatable field.
    • 10+ years of energy, utility, or related experience is required.
    • Experience with Microsoft tools such as Excel, VBA, MS Access, and SQL,
    • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) would be a plus.
    • MS/MBA preferred.

    Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

    • Great PC and G-Suite skills, strong Excel, MS-Access.
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills required.
    • Attention to details and ability to review materials for accuracy.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong telephone etiquette.
    • Ability/flexibility to learn and apply new skills.
    • Ability to navigate through a variety of computer applications.
    • Ability to prioritize work.
    • High level of professionalism and integrity

    Required Certification / Licenses / Training

    • Professional licensing preferred.
    • Industry certifications preferred.
