It operates as a 10-day Transportation Facility with offices servicing Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Kern Counties. Veolia Azusa maintains a fleet of commercial vehicles in addition to highly trained and qualified project managers, field technicians, and drivers to meet and exceed customers expectations. Veolia offers the following services: transportation and disposal of hazardous/industrial waste, on site waste management programs, lab packing of lab chemicals, bulking wastes, household hazardous waste events, and environmental/safety consulting. Summary Responsible for handling the administration, maintenance, and communication of moderate to complex customer accounts. Must have strong knowledge of pricing, regulatory information, waste and characterization of waste, contract specifications, manifests and schedules, resolving invoice discrepancies, etc. to insure accuracy of customer and/or Veolia personnel inquiries. Assists sales and Operations in securing new business and maintaining existing customer base. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Answer customer inquiries on a variety of issues pertaining to waste disposal options, treatment technologies, pricing, profiling, contracts, and regulations efficiently and effectively. * Review and process incoming waste profile sheets for accuracy. Approve profiles (once trained) and/or forward to appropriate TSDF for direct approval and resolve any discrepancies. * Enter a variety of information into the appropriate Veolia system to include generator information, profile information, approval decisions, and confirmation letters. * Respond to calls with respect to waste pickup and scheduling by informing appropriate personnel with dates, customer, and scheduling data. * Review billing packets for accurate coding data and confirm codes to match contracted pricing. * Ensure that all profiles are priced on the Veolia system being used and modify pricing information if incorrect/as necessary. * Make sales calls on established customers to provide additional services or maintain current customer base. * Assist Veolia personnel in determining existing contract specifications, pricing, options, regulations, etc. to better service customer needs. * Work with customers and TSDFs to resolve all discrepancies identified after shipment of waste/upon receipt at a TSDF within a 15 day time period. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education/Experience: * An Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience required. * A BS in the sciences or BA in business or related field preferred. * Prior work experience of 2 to 3 years in the hazardous waste industry or related customer service work experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Ability: * Knowledge in environmental technologies. * Knowledge of disposal site capabilities and limitations prior to shipping hazardous materials to ensure efficient disbursement and storage.
