POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to fill the role of SVP Energy Transition - P&L Leader within our Sustainable Industries and Buildings (SIB) business unit. As the P&L Leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth acceleration of our organization by preparing for and successfully launching a new business line focused on Energy Transition.

SIB helps industrial and commercial customers operate more reliably while reducing their environmental footprint.
SIB enables companies to achieve their net zero carbon and other ESG goals by integrating Veolia’s expertise in water and energy operations, decarbonization and energy efficiency, enterprise- and site-level energy management, and circular economy solutions for heavy industries.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with the BU CEO and other team members to refine the energy transition growth strategy for our organization, including identifying organic and inorganic growth opportunities.
- Evaluate markets, customer needs, and existing and emerging solutions to prioritize select growth opportunities for the organization.
- Work closely with the Business Development teams to identify and develop a relevant pipeline of organic growth projects.
- Collaborate with the M&A team to identify and develop a relevant pipeline of inorganic growth projects.
- Support the establishment and maintenance of relationships with external partners, such as infrastructure funds, to leverage their expertise and resources.
- Integrate relevant existing activities into the new organization, ensuring a seamless transition and leveraging synergies.
- Execute the integration of relevant acquisitions to strengthen the Energy Transition P&L.
- Develop and implement the overall operational strategy and objectives in line with the company's mission and vision.
- Ensures that the "BU/ Company Story" is effectively and accurately communicated.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient and effective production processes, logistics, and management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with other senior executives to align operational goals with the overall corporate strategy.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Assess and mitigate operational risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and utilization of company assets, machinery, and equipment.
- Develop and manage the operational budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Function as an ambassador to the public and industry at large.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and employee engagement.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business expansion and growth within the industrial sector.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, vendors, and customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to drive innovation and competitiveness.
- Represent the company in various industry events, conferences, and business meetings.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work Environment:
- Spends 70% time in an office environment and 30% in plants and field.
- Makes visits to existing and potential customer facilities. Moderate travel.

- May be exposed to possible hazards including high noise, heavy machinery, chemicals and temperature extremes when visiting customer or supplier facilities. Exposed to possible travel hazards.
