Job Description

• Work modified DuPont rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• Heavy Equipment Experience.
• Conduct daily equipment checks and cleaning.
• Report any abnormalities to the Shift Supervisor and record issues on the Fuel Handler Check Sheet and Heavy Equipment Inspection sheet.
• Assists the control room operator and shift supervisor through onsite inspection and operation of plant systems and gains the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the next career progression level.
• Accountable to Shift Supervisor and operates within the context and prescribed limits established by the Supervisor.
• Monitors plant operation through visual inspection.
• Isolates equipment for maintenance repairs and tags equipment parts, inspects, reports on status, and activates remote control mechanisms on plant systems. Monitors and maintains oil levels for plant equipment.
• Performs light maintenance activities and operation requirements of the Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Maintain work area in an organized and clean manner.
• Provides training and technical instruction to other shift members as needed.
• Handles incoming communications for the plant and monitors the front gate. ⮚ Train drivers on how to properly offload trucks on tippers.
• Performs miscellaneous tasks as directed by shift supervisor.
• Assists the Senior Fuel Handler with machine operations, inspections, and cleaning.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and acceptable manner.
• Demonstrate a high performance, high discipline, safe, accountable, focused, innovative, and achievement-oriented, easy to do business with manner of working.
• Ensures that assigned tools, equipment and work area are properly maintained and secured.
• Assists Mechanical Maintenance, I&C and Operations as required.
• Shall use Three-Way radio communication to ensure clear radio communications.
• Standing and walking on uneven surfaces.
• Climbing Ladders and stairs.
• Ability to lift 40 Lbs.
