Job Description

MISSION OF THE ROLE: 

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will focus on supporting the organization by performing financial activities to ensure all financial items are captured accurately and timely. Accounts Receivable Specialists will track payments, make banking deposits and run reports that document profits and losses for our organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiate, maintain, and review financial tracking for all assigned study budgets
• Research any accounts receivable discrepancies provided by Accounting Manager
• Manage the Accounts Receivable process as assigned by Associate Finance Director
• Identify payment issues regarding delayed or incomplete study payments and communicate to sponsor, CRO, and site clinical team/Controller accordingly
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Healthcare Administrative
• Preferable 2+ years of experience in financial management, health administration, business administration, pharmaceutical/clinical research industry or medical collections
• Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information accurately and appropriate, with discretion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, NetSuite, and/or related accounting software applications.
