Job Description

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience effectively communicating with Principal Investigators, adhering to regulatory requirements related to clinical research. Candidate will be able to demonstrate proficiency in managing all aspects of a clinical trial, from start-up to close out. Understands regulations, policies, protocols and procedures to control and maintain accurate records.
• Performs data searches and other related administrative tasks.
• Ensures compliance with all federal and local agencies including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and local Institutional Review Board.
• Maintains research practices using Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
• Maintains strict patient confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations and applicable law.
• Participates in required training and education programs.
• Depending upon experience, may include supervising and training other CRCs.
• Proficiency in phlebotomy desirable

Qualifications

• Nursing degree (BSN, RN or LPN) with a minimum of 2+ years of clinical research experience strongly preferred OR a certified medical assistant with 4+ years of clinical research experience
• Clinical research experience preferably in GI and vaccine space.
• Phlebotomy experience
• Willing to travel between Raleigh and Durham sites
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to learn quickly, read and understand complex protocols, follow very detailed directions, and multi-tasking
• Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of patients, employees, and company information at all times and adhere to HIPAA Guidelines
