JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News is looking for an Accountant to be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the accounting department and all areas of financial reporting, including analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information for Fox News Media. This is a great opportunity for a highly organized, detailed, and enthusiastic Accountant to join our team.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly journal entries and assist with the month-end close process
• Perform month-end balance sheet reconciliations including bank and A/R accounts and investigate/correct items as needed
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly financials and analysis including P&L and Balance Sheet
• Record fixed asset purchases, disposals, and depreciation
• Perform monthly reporting and analyses for fixed assets
• Meet internal and corporate deadlines
• Special projects and ad hoc requests as needed

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 1-3 years of general accounting experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Excel
• Experience with Workday system
• Solid understanding of GAAP
• Internal Controls testing a plus
• Strong financial analysis skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and able to multitask
• Familiarity with the media industry
