    JOB DESCRIPTION

The FOX Sports NASCAR Production Internship is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to studio production through your hybrid internship experience. This opportunity will give you a chance to navigate both the remote and in-person nature of current NASCAR production by being fully immersed into the daily broadcast workflow. PLEASE NOTE THIS INTERNSHIP IS AVAILABLE AS AN ON-SITE OPPORTUNITY IN CHARLOTTE, NC. A SNAPSHOT OF THIS EXPERIENCE:

    • Attend daily rundown meetings and weekly planning meetings
    • Spending time in control rooms and edits on-set and in the field
    • Provide production support through the creation of clip reels and cutting b-roll
    • Collaborate with feature producers on virtual & remote shoots
    • Assist with various projects as dictated by your manager and/or show producers

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program
    • Current class standing of sophomore, (second-year college student) or above
    • Strong academic record (minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA)
    • Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program
    • Must have an interest in television production and a strong knowledge of NASCAR
    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere
    • Great organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines
    • Must have a positive attitude, be eager to learn, and hardworking
    • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evening hours
    • Access to own housing and transportation to/from the assigned internship site
    • Must be able to work on-site in Charlotte, NC

    STUDENTS SELECTED TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS:

    • Must demonstrate knowledge of company, sports media industry, and NASCAR

    STUDENTS ACCEPTED INTO THE SPRING 2022 PROGRAM:

    • Are required to provide a copy of an unofficial transcript or letter from adviser/registrar showing proof of enrollment and GPA

    • SCHEDULED WEEKLY HOURS: 16-24 hours per week

    Successful students have:

    • Knowledge of current NASCAR and Fox Sports programming and talent
    • The ability to maintain a professional demeanor when interfacing with talent and executives
    • Basic knowledge of Adobe Premiere
    • A detail-oriented nature with strong organizational skills
    • Self-starter attitude and team player
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to handle a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
    • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
