    ** Motion Design Intern - Duo/Cisco**

    Are you passionate about telling stories through visual mediums like animation, graphic design and illustration? Do you have a keen eye for detail, keyframe like there's no tomorrow, and like the idea of collaborating with creative teams that are telling stories across a scaling cybersecurity business?

    If so, we're looking for a talented motion design intern like you to join the Cisco Secure Brand Strategy & Design team. Throughout the course of your internship, you'll gain real world experience working closely with skilled visual designers, writers, and product marketers to tell the story of our security business. As part of our experienced in-house creative team, you'll be developing polished animated content ranging from short form videos, to animated explainers.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Collaborate directly with our in-house animator to produce content ranging from 20 - 60 second microvideos, to long-form animated explainers using the Cisco Secure and Duo visual identities.
    • Work closely with colleagues within our brand team, and across teams, to develop eye-catching, polished content for public Duo and Cisco Secure platforms.
    • Help build out streamlined, repeatable and scalable processes for producing high quality animated content.
    • Be a proactive contributor to our creative process from the beginning of a project through delivery.
    • Keep up to date on emerging technology and trends within the design and animation industries, ask lots of questions, and share your own knowledge with your peers as you gain experience on the job with us.

    OUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

    • You are seasoned with imaging and design software like Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and more within the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Knowledge of applications like Cinema 4D, Maya, Adobe Animate or Adobe Character Animator a bonus.
    • You have proven experience developing creative work in various mediums, but particularly animation.
    • You are passionate about building your career around developing high quality animated or moving image content.

    • Our specific group is the Story & Media team, a subgroup within Cisco Secure's Brand Strategy & Design team.
    • We're a multi-functional, inclusive and innovative team of media artists, writers, and employer brand specialists who are focused on telling compelling stories around security products, philosophies and culture.
    • We are a team that values and respects each others' work ethic, individual working styles, and supports each other in accomplishing what is vital to making our business successful.
    • You'll also collaborate with a wide variety of teams, from cybersecurity specialists, content marketers, and brand managers throughout the business.

    WHO YOU ARE

    • You are a student working towards a degree in visual design and/or animation or recent graduate (1 year).
    • You understand and appreciate storytelling structure and mechanics, and how motion graphics integrate into that structure
    • You work well in a tight-knit team structure, and enjoy collaboration and receiving constructive feedback. You're open to experimentation and an iterative way of working.
    • You work without ego. Make no assumptions, and aren't afraid to ask questions and get context when you need to.
    • You're energized by continuous learning opportunities for you, your peers, and your team.
    • You have a passion for technology and emerging trends.
    • You're good at interacting with different personalities, skill levels, levels of seniority, and across other subject areas.

    INTERNSHIP DETAILS...

    • You'll be working with our global teams with offices in Ann Arbor, MI, Austin, TX and London, UK with the opportunity to work remotely
    • Program dates are May 23rd - August 19th
    • Roles are full time and 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
