As a Global Strategy & Initiatives MBA Intern, you will play a key role in evaluating portfolio expansion opportunities for the Meraki business! You will have the opportunity to analyze our transactional and platform data in conjunction with customer interviews and market research. You'll also develop recommendations for the business based on your findings and solicit feedback from multiple department/function leaders in order to ultimately share your ideas and recommendations with senior leadership. This emerging group within Cisco Meraki provides visibility across a multitude of functions, ranging from Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations, to Product, Channel and Demand Planning among others.

Ideal candidates will have senior executive presence, excellent relationship building skills, strategic and analytical mindsets, and strong organizational skills to drive projects to completion. Furthermore, candidates should serve as thought leaders for the organization, proactively providing recommendations and helping identify strategic market opportunities for Meraki.

Potential Internship Projects:

• Conduct customer-backed interviews & research to identify emerging opportunities
• Leverage our platform and historical transactional data to coalesce around potential expansion areas
• Read through and synthesize off-the-shelf market research
• Solicit cross-functional input from Product Management, Sales, Finance and other key functions
• Develop and/or use frameworks to prioritize potential market expansion opportunities
• Develop point of view/perspective on landscape of expansion opportunities
• Present findings to Senior Meraki leadership

Who you are:

• Currently pursuing an MBA with a graduation date in 2022
• Outstanding communication & relationship-building skills
• Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and understanding of strategic frameworks & concepts
• Ability to take initiative and work autonomously to structure & solve strategic problems
• Interest in and ability to understand networking and cloud technologies
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PPT
• Have a foundational understanding of financial concepts like gross margin & COGS
