    As the leader in cloud-managed IT, Cisco Meraki connects passionate people to their mission by simplifying the digital workplace. Our impact is driven by the innovative, purposeful, and vibrant people who make up our inclusive community. When technology is intuitive, our customers can focus on what matters.

    Our employees fuel the magic of the Meraki community. They have fostered an environment that empowers Merakians to challenge limits, embrace risks, and assist our customers in pursuing their missions. Our guiding principles are rooted in our four core values: 'care deeply,' 'everybody in,' 'simplify everything,' and 'be brave.' These pillars have propelled us to the forefront of cloud-managed IT leadership and have played a pivotal role in shaping a more inclusive future for all.

    Meraki makes setting up and maintaining reliable Internet and Internet-powered devices easier than ever before. We enable organizations everywhere, from local libraries to hotels operating worldwide, to focus on their mission and have technology that simply works.

    We're looking for a UX Design intern to join us in simplifying IT! As a UX intern at Meraki, you will design interactions and components. Collaborating with other designers, researchers, and partners in product management and engineering, you will collect data and conduct research to understand users' goals, and you will explore and iterate on solutions.

    We place a high value on encouraging the growth and development of everyone on the team. On the UX team, we give and get feedback early and often, share what we know, and learn from each other. UX interns will be paired with a mentor and work closely with them throughout their internship.

    The UX team's primary focus is on software, but we also find opportunities to collaborate with teams across the organization and think about how to improve the entire customer journey.

    Responsibilities:

    • Learn about the domain and workflows of our users
    • Collaborate with partners in product management and engineering to help identify and define problem to solve, and explore solutions
    • Collaborate with researchers on user research
    • Communicate the user experience at various stages of the software design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high fidelity prototypes.
    • Solicit feedback from designers, researchers, and other collaborators
    • Iterate based on insights from user research, analytics, peer feedback, and other data.
    • Design on-screen interactions and component

    Qualifications:

    • Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
    • Including but not limited to an upcoming graduate of a technical degree or certification program from a Technical Boot Camp, Apprenticeship, Community College or 4-Year University, or Graduate degree program
    • Passionate about user-centered design principles, consistently placing user needs and experiences at the core of the design process to create intuitive and meaningful digital interfaces.
    • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with individuals from diverse fields such as engineering, product, and more to achieve common design goals.
    • Investigate challenges in screen-based products, develop sophisticated solutions, and refine designs based on feedback and user insights.
    • Skilled in low/high fidelity wireframing, rapid prototyping, storyboarding, visual design, and creating user flows, enabling the creation of cohesive and user-friendly digital interfaces and products.
    • Foundational understanding and familiarity with front-end code (HTML/CSS), enabling effective communication with developers and implementation of design concepts.

    At Cisco Meraki, we're challenging the status quo with the power of diversity, inclusion, and collaboration. When we connect different perspectives, we can imagine new possibilities, inspire innovation, and release the full potential of our people! We're building an employee experience that includes appreciation, belonging, growth, and purpose for everyone.

Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday, plus a day off for their birthday. Employees accrue up to 20 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) each year and have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues without tapping into their PTO. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community. Employees are also able to purchase company stock through our Employee Stock Purchase Program.

    Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:

    .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;

    1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;

    1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.

    For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
