    As a Support Associate for SAP’s Manufacturing Execution and SAP’s Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence applications, you will enable customers to implement and operate their SAP solutions efficiently by providing state-of-the-art support services. This includes the root-cause analysis of product and configuration issues and their resolution with the help of advanced tools, knowledge bases and remote connections to customer systems.  SAP's powerful software requires a high level of expertise from our support employees. Every support associate will therefore first receive general training and then undergo a specialization in Manufacturing Execution and JAVA technology areas.  

    You will work in a multinational team in close cooperation with experts from all over the world. The Support Engineer will need the ability to support complex SAP Netweaver environments with SAP ME and SAP MII and provide root cause analysis on a variety of databases such as Oracle, MS SQL and DB2.

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

    Among other responsibilities, you should expect to do many of the following:

    • Investigates, analyze complex, real world, unique problems; and resolve critical system issues for Enterprise level Fortune 500 companies. 
    • Think independently and apply effective problem solving skills.
    • Work and talk with colleagues and customers from all around the world!
    • Recommend known technical solutions and develop workarounds for corrective action.
    • Properly document communications and actions for customer issues in our CRM system.
    • Use SAP and third party Tools to diagnose problems directly on customer systems.
    • Contribute regularly to the internal and external Knowledge Base.
    • Participate in After Hours Support & Weekend shifts as scheduled.
    • Master SAP software that is being used by industries, governments and multinational companies 
    • Join the global SAP Family and become an ambassador for the Support Organization.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • University degree or College diploma program in Computer Science, Business and Technology, or related areas.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
    • High proficiency in English (spoken, written and customer management).
    • Ability to assess, research, and troubleshoot while collecting information about customer issues.
    • Having good programming skills in JAVA is desired 
    • Good understanding of Relational Databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
    • Working knowledge of operating systems (Unix/Linux/Windows) is preferred
    • Knowledge of production processes is an advantage.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Open and professional communication style.
    • Strong team player who learns and adapts quickly.
    • Enjoy and derive satisfaction from direct interfacing with customers.

     

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 0-3+ years work experience through co-ops or internship experience in corporate environment preferred
    • Support or administration experience of databases such as Oracle, SQL Server is helpful.  
    • Manufacturing Industry or Industrial Engineering exposure through course work or internships helpful 
    • Support or administration experience with Windows, Linux, HP-UX, and AIX is helpful
    • There is no visa sponsorship at this time. Candidates must have full time work authorization.
