    The Global Center of Expertise (CoE) is a division of SAP’s Digital Business Service’s Delivery unit. Our mission is to deliver world-class services to support SAP’s premium-level customers under the umbrella of MaxAttention, Active Attention, and Enterprise Support customers. The Global CoE provides a meticulous, and strategic service to SAP’s largest customers operating on the most complex SAP landscapes. We interact with individuals at every level of the customer’s organization in order to meet the customer’s needs. The role of a CoE team member is demanding and requires passionate individuals with the strongest technical expertise as well as excellent analytical and communication skills. The role is tasked with planning, architecting, analyzing, optimizing, and safeguarding our customers’ SAP solutions.

    We provide essential services and mission critical support to help SAP customers realize their digital transformation agenda and ensure business continuity during solution implementations, oversee the smooth operation of SAP software and the optimal technical performance of all business processes. We identify product gaps, develop solutions to close gaps, and implement specific best practice operations scenarios based on SAP standards to help customers minimize the total cost of ownership of their solution. Additionally, we work with cutting edge technologies within the SAP Business Suite, SAP NetWeaver software solutions, and Cloud based applications and drive the development of necessary supportability features and support offerings.

You will gain a deep understanding of the cloud business model, as well as the SAP business processes across functional borders.

     

    EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

    • Participate in initial training program (bootcamp) to learn targeted SAP technologies and methodologies.
    • Support and participate in SAP customer implementations through: fit-gap workshops, design, implementation, operation, optimization and upgrade phases of the SAP solution. 
    • Provide technical product expertise, guidance, and instruction on SAP products.
    • Ability to provide assistance to team members in the development and implementation of technical solutions.
    • Responsible for maintaining a high degree of customer satisfaction in addition to growing and developing referenceable customers.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, work in a team environment, understand and be responsive to project and customer needs.
    • Ability to adapt and function effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment while working under deadlines.
    • A record of taking initiative (self-starter), driving results and accepting increasing levels of responsibility.
    • Must be able to problem solver.
    • Build credible relationships with peers and clients, and continuous professional learning of SAP products.
    • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge effectively.
  • Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

    • Recent graduate of an accredited university with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar STEM degree.
    • Strong preference for completion of SAP course work at an SAP University Alliance School a plus.
    • Must be able to work as a team player but, also have the ability to work independently.
    • Analytical, results-driven and have a solution-oriented approach.
    • Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written presentation and listening.

     

    TECHNICAL SKILLS

    • Development experience in one or more programming/scripting languages like Java, ABAP, HTML5, Java Script, node.js, C, C++, Objective C, C#, ASP, .NET, and PHP. 3+ university courses or class project experience in C++ or JAVA preferred.
    • Technical skills in SQL, Database (SQL) knowledge, database management, business intelligence, enterprise performance management, data mining, systems administration.
    • Understanding of relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase, MaxDB, DB2 etc.
    • Other technologies, devices and skills such as experience with JavaScript, XML, HTML5, AJAX, CSS, Data Synchronization, Device Management, networking and security would be a plus.

     

    WORK EXPERIENCE

    • 6 months to 2 years of relevant work experience in a corporate environment through internships or recent work experience is a plus
    • Must be open to travel
    • Must be willing to relocate to SAP HQ’s in Newtown Square, PA - Positions start in 2020
    • Positions require full time permanent work authorization in the USA, as there is no visa sponsorship opportunity at this time
