Be the leading force in hunting for new business and expanding our independent insurance client base. Approximately 80% of the time will be spent on prospecting new business/accounts and 20% on up-selling/cross-selling. This position will work closely with internal team members to create business plans that show how products can help potential clients reach their goals. You will be relied upon to prospect, cold call, open doors, and set appointments. Base plus commission role with an uncapped compensation structure and opportunity for growth.
In This Role You’ll:
Must achieve conversation and demo appointment goals as provided by management;
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from websites, trade shows, email campaigns, specific agent requests, referrals, and other sources;
Makes outbound calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services;
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers;
Emphasizes salable features;
Builds and maintains strong, long-lasting customer relationships;
Clearly communicates the progress of sales initiatives to management;
Assist with the coordination of contract preparation;
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into Salesforce.com database;
Investigates and resolves customer problems when needed;
Travels to and attends trade shows as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
Demonstrated success in lead generation and development
1+ years' successful business-to-business sales experience
Self-starter, self-motivated, disciplined and independent
Clear and persuasive oral and written communication to include presentation of ideas, listening and interpersonal skills
Excellent negotiation and closing skills
