The SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer Development team is committed to delivering best in class and leading-edge cloud-based CRM solutions designed to meet the line of business needs. We provide appealing products combining software, configuration, and customizing tools with a rich user experience, integrating emerging trends such as the use of Social Media and mobile devices for interaction with consumers. The team is working in a Scrum based agile mode designing, implementing, and releasing products as part of our SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer offerings.

Expectations & Tasks

Data Scientist with bit of development background who executes the mathematical modeling of our customers' business problems, and applications to solve these problems. Work along with the SAP Hybris Cloud for Customer development team in the following fields:

• Investigate machine learning technologies and their interaction with our ongoing products in the CRM domain
• Experiment with state-of-the-art machine learning expertise to support CRM-centric decision-making processes
• Define and execute ML/NLP CRM centric scenarios
• Ensure responsiveness, scalability, and maintain sub-second end-to-end latency
• Focus on software fault-tolerance to compensate for inevitable outages in the cloud
• Willing to learn and develop enterprise-grade applications.
• Work in rapid prototype and agile development environment
• Support our existing customer to resolve their complex issues
• Perform product design, modeling, implementation, and testing
• Co-operate with Product Management and UX Designers to translate customer requests into useful product functionality
• Work in close cooperation with other areas (other development teams, partners, Go-To-Market team)
• Take full responsibility for strategic decisions regarding cloud software development

Skills / Competencies

• CRM functional domain knowledge
• Strong Database and SQL knowledge
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript
• Exposure to Cloud computing platforms (PaaS)
• Exposure to version control system like Git
• Experience with big data techniques (such as Hadoop, Spark etc.)
• Familiar with one or more machine learning or statistical modeling tools such as Scikit learn, Matlab and R
• Knowledge of modern protocols and APIs (REST/JSON etc.)
• Knowledge in integrating systems running in different environments
• Experience working in continuous delivery and continuous deployment enabled setups
• Experience/understanding of conversational bots, digital assistance etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, relationship skills and a strong team player
• Willingness to interact with customers and passionate to solve their issues
• Willing to learn new programming languages and tools/frameworks on need basis
• Knowledge in SAP technologies (SAP SCP, HANA, SAP Predictive Analytics, SAP Leonardo, HANA Vora etc.) will be a plus
• Others: Determined to reach a goal in time, ability to work independently and to prioritize, pleasure in dealing with people, innovative and open-minded

Educational Requirements

• Masters or advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related major preferred
