THIS INTERNSHIP IS FULL-TIME DURING SCHOOL YEAR BREAKS AND HAS FLEXIBLE PART-TIME HOURS DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR

Duration: May 2016 - April 2017 (May start date is preferred)

This is a formal internship offering aligned with Infor’s Education Alliance Program that offers students currently enrolled at a college or university access to cutting edge industry knowledge and solutions expertise.

Qualified Scholars will be placed on a specific team within an Infor department to gain comprehensive work experience. Select Scholars will have an opportunity to rotate between departments completing challenging industry-based work.

We are seeking a development intern who is highly motivated and detail-oriented to assist a team of Front-End Developers developing new products for the next generation of business applications in the Cloud.

Ideal candidate will have some experience in HTML and CSS web application development for cross browser and cross device use. This internship is an opportunity to assist a team to help shape the functionality and user experience of mobile and desktop products for one of the largest enterprise software companies in the world.

Responsibilities:

• Write clean, hand-coded W3C compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Expand on and develop new JavaScript plugins

• Test and trouble shoot web site cross browser inconsistencies

• Assist with image optimization and exportation of design assets for web

• Assist with code optimization

• Research web technologies and prototype as needed

• Write simple, clear documentation

• Assist with larger projects

• Applicants must be currently enrolled students for the entire duration of the internship to qualify

• Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Studies, Digital Design/Production or similar

• Required GPA: 3.0+ minimum

• A passion for technology

• Solid understanding of HTML/CSS

• Experience with JavaScript and JavaScript libraries (jQuery preferred)

• Experience or familiarity with any of the following JavaScript frameworks is a plus: Node, Angular, Backbone, Marionette

• Understanding of responsive web design principles and methods

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN)

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Experience with a CSS pre-processor is a plus
