As a ConsenSys intern you will be embedded with one of our market teams and receive 1-to-1 mentorship while making real contributions towards building the Internet of tomorrow.

Our Market Development & Business Operations Interns are an essential part of our team, helping us to reach and develop new business and projects with external partners.

As a member of the fast-paced Public Sector team—a group of six blockchain industry professionals based in Washington, DC—you’ll help to serve the US and Global public sector, international organizations, multilateral banks, and nonprofits. This role will support market development, business operations, event planning, and more. You will learn about how blockchain is being used by the US government, World Food Programme, Inter-American Development Bank, and more—and potentially help publish some blogs on our latest work in the sector.

Responsibilities for the role include, but are not limited to:

• Creating event strategy reports and budgets
• Working alongside experts to perform market research
• Prepare decks to present to clients and internal stakeholders
• Writing blogs
• Write sections of proposals
• Take and distribute notes from meetings and calls
• Plan and manage meetings for the team
• Using Salesforce, Linkedin, and other tools
• Other fun things!

Past ConsenSys interns have:

• Contributed theoretical research to the Ethereum Foundation
• Published among the earliest decompositions of the DAO hack
• Helped INFURA scale to serve more than 40 million requests per day
• Contributed code to uPort, Boardroom, Weifund, the Proof-of-Physical-Address project, and the original Ujo Music prototype—one of the most heavily transacted-with smart contracts in the first six months of the Ethereum mainnet

Experience and Skills:

• Either working toward or completed a Bachelor’s degree
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• A knack for learning
• Creating budgets in excel
• Experience writing proposals is preferred, but not required
• Experience using Hubspot or other email marketing tools preferred
• Working in the Washington, DC area is strongly preferred, with the ability to work remotely as needed (potentially a few days a week)
• Available to work 40 hours per week during the fall semester
